Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!

Especially to my father the late, great Ernest Staples. How I wish you were still here, so we could laugh and talk like we used to.

I miss watching you draw and sketch out different characters and talking about the picture book you always wanted to write. Thank you for passing your creativity to me. It has allowed me to pick up and write where you left off.

I have your wacky sense of humor. Your creativity. Because you taught me about tools, I have ability to tackle any home project--large or small, just move out of my way and give me my tools.

When I was little you tied those Everlast boxing gloves onto my toothpick arms and taught me how to box--introducing me to physical fitness. Because of you teaching me how to clean, load & shoot a gun. I qualified as an EXPERT shooter in the military...Yeah Baby!!  I can garden, fish, shoot pool, and outplay anyone in ping pong!

((Pssst!...remember when you taught me how to hot-wire a times!!...I'm proud to tell you that I never tried it again since that day LOL!!))

Thanks Pops!!

Evil Lies - Suicide

That evil demon has snatched up two more lives this week. Two celebrities have committed suicide. However, there are countless others who have taken their lives and we will never know their names.

My heart goes out to the many families struggling with the aftermath of this demon. Some state it's related to mental illness, but not always. I’m going to call it what it really is, a demon.

It whispers in your ear that you are not valuable and no one cares. It watches you throughout your day and waits until you’re at a vulnerable moment or when you think you’ve failed at something and pounces with its most famous words, “I told you so.”

Like a mosquito it just continually buzzes around your head whispering its lies. You’re not wanted. You’re no good. This world would be better without you. You’re a burden. You’re a failure. No one loves you. You have no value. You’re sick and tired of being sick and tired.

                                LIES! LIES! LIES! LIES!

There is someone right now watching you, wishing they had what you have, and wishing they could do what you do. Wishing they had your talent, your love, your job, your family, your life. There is someone right now watching you with admiration and are inspired by you. You are valuable. This world needs you.

If you find yourself in this place of darkness, please know there are people that are more than willing to listen and to help you. Please don't give up! 💕  (Psalm 34)

The Grandma Chronicles (aka GiGi)

On May 1, 2018, my world changed! The most spectacular, wonderful, amazing, and mind blowing event happened. I became a grandma or as I prefer GiGi 😊

     **Congrats Joel & Shannan**

Nothing wrong with being called a grandma but GiGi seemed to fit my personality a little more. 😎

My granddaughter was born at 7:55am, after a pretty long labor. My daughter was a champ through the entire process. The love and support my son-in-law gave was just pure love. 💓💓💓

Being in the room and watching the birth of my first grandchild was such an amazing, memorable, and surreal experience! I gave ice chips, rubbed her back, told her stories of my labor with her, made jokes, prayed, and when it was time, encouraged her to push! I can only describe it all as  "Wow" and "Aw" and OMG! moments with lots of tears. My heart felt as if it were going to explode when I first laid eyes on her. When I heard her first cry, I cried. When I held her in my arms, time stopped. She was just absolute perfection, straight from heaven!

Introducing, my granddaughter, Ryan Elizabeth!

Stayed tuned.

POLARIS middle grade SciFi

If you love watching #AncientAliens Find out the real story behind the #RoswellNM #UFO incident #booksforkids #ConspiracyTheories #cosmology #AncientAstronautTheorist #Mayanruins

Bixie, Montana, is in the middle of nowhere, not connected to any place, and not used as a pass through to get anywhere. But one snowy evening, a lone visitor walking down an old country road changes 13-year-old Aaron Martin’s life forever.

Aaron thinks he’s being a Good Samaritan by inviting the nearly-frozen visitor into his home, but he’s unwittingly initiated The Game. A group of Elders, known as the Council of the Legend, come together from time to time to enjoy a rousing event they playfully call “The Game.” Now, Aaron’s town is the playing board and he and his fellow townspeople are the players.

The rules are simple. Win. Because if Aaron loses, he won’t just lose his family . . . he’ll lose his very identity.

Enjoy! 👽
